Santrum BloCafe Trial Users' Talk

Mon Jan 28, 2008 7:03am EST
Bring Members Back, Real Time Talk and Co-Work, Save Time and Money,
Incredibly Efficient

PALM DESERT, Calif., Jan. 28 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- BloCafe, a talkable,
co-editable, user manageable, more-than-a-blog "Cafe" is putting post-and-
posted blogs out of date. Trial users of BloCafe Beta, a product launched
today at the DEMO 08 conference by Santrum Networks Inc., have already
benefited from its proactive "pushing message" and collaborative features.
Attracting both business and general users, BloCafe is going to change
Internet users' behavior from typing to talking, co-viewing, and co-editing;
and from checking messages passively to receiving messages directly.
Yun-Fen Hsia, one of BloCafe's trial users, also a famous financial
consultant, writer, and television program hostess in Taiwan, shared her
BloCafe experience, "I don't need to hang on my blog for checking responses
anymore. Once I got posted, a pushing message will pop up to remind me of the
latest update."
Hsia plans to have her next book launched at her "Cafe Money 365" at
BloCafe to co-view some pages of the new book with her readers on the
Internet.
She also plans to create a "Book Club" to talk with readers in real time to
draw readers back regularly. "Probably, I'll set up paid forums for investment
courses," said Hsia.
BloCafe is also welcomed by manufacturing companies. Agustin Wu, CEO of
Lidar Hardware, a furniture designer and manufacturer, shared his BloCafe
experience, "I had a meeting with my art designer based in Italy. I co-viewed
the layout of sliding doors shown at his desktop. Every movement of his
drawings and modifications were clearly shown. We were able to complete the
design in half an hour. It was incredibly efficient."
"Save time, save money, " Wu plans to have product launches at "Cafe Lidar
Hardware" for sales agents at different locations. "They can see exactly what
shown at my laptop, and that saves me from having to travel and have face-to-
face meetings just for explaining." Wu also has products listed at "Blos" to
get customers' responses, "A pushing message will pop up when I got a post."
A formula explains BloCafe thoroughly: BloCafe=(Live Forum + Voice Chat +
Blog) x Pushing Message. In addition to posting on "Blos," to host a Cafe
means you may host live forums to allow forum attendees to co-view the file
shown at your laptop, and even to co-edit on the file while you are talking to
them. You do not have to check your blog for responses because a pushing
message will be directly sent to you and your members' laptops when there is a
new post. When you create a new forum or a new Blo, your members will also
receive a pushing message.
"BloCafe is a compelling and creative platform," said Chris Shipley,
executive producer of DEMO. "It is a fresh alternative for organizations
planning collaborative or promotional events. And it will change Internet
users' behaviors from typing to talking, co-viewing, and co-editing; and from
checking messages passively to receiving messages directly."
Integrating the real time collaboration and the patent-filed pushing
message technology, BloCafe focuses on business markets by providing companies
and SOHOs an easy-to-use platform to host training courses, distributors'
meetings, VIP clubs, customer services, product launches, and press
conferences; as well as delivering a consumer platform that builds closer
online social communities.
