today that it is introducing a new line of Rechargeable Alkaline Cordless
(RAC) phone replacement batteries at the International Consumer
Electronics Show (CES) held January 8-11 in Las Vegas, NV.
With a number of performance and environmental benefits over competing
products, RAC phone batteries represent the first major advancement in the
multi-million dollar cordless phone battery technology in several years.
RAC batteries can be recharged 1000s of times and have longer "reserve"
talk and "standby" time than NiCd and NiMH batteries. Unlike NiCd and
NiMH, they are also ready-to-use out of the package. The table below
shows the performance of NiCd, NiMH and RAC batteries for a standard
cordless phone model.
