Tunisie Telecom Selects Telarix's iXTools(TM) to Expand Its International Carrier Business and Enhance the Overall Performance of Its Interconnect Systems
Deployment by Tunisian Telecom Provider Marks Telarix's Continued
Expansion into Africa
VIENNA, Va.--(Business Wire)--Telarix, Inc., the leading provider of Interconnect Business
Optimization (IBO) and settlement solutions for content providers, IP
service providers and global fixed and mobile operators, together with
GET Wireless, one of North Africa's leading international systems
providers, today announced that Tunisie Telecom, the leading national
telecommunications company in Tunisia, will deploy Telarix's
comprehensive portfolio of interconnect business optimization
solutions to manage the carrier's growing interconnect business.
Tunisie Telecom will implement Telarix's partner management,
routing and trade solutions as well as the revenue assurance modules,
iXBill and iXAudit. iXBill is a robust and highly flexible
interconnect billing system that allows carriers to eliminate revenue
leakage by ensuring that every call is captured, rated and invoiced
correctly. Integrated with iXConnect, the solution is able to define
and manage an unlimited number of interconnect agreements with other
carriers and content partners, regardless of the level of complexity.
This level of sophistication enables a carrier to support a variety of
agreement types and rating scenarios including multi-party settlements
and sophisticated revenue sharing partnerships.
iXAudit, the second component of Telarix's revenue assurance
solution, is an end-to-end audit and dispute management system
designed to streamline the validation of interconnect invoices,
reconcile charges and manage settlements. The system provides a data
repository for all carrier invoices and a flexible workflow to
expedite the identification and management of disputes. By supporting
the automatic transfer of information to back-office financial
management systems, carriers can efficiently complete payment
processing and manage the accounting for any disputed amounts which
might arise.
"Tunisie Telecom has a proven track record of deploying innovative
technologies that enhance our business and provide a competitive
advantage," said Nabil Baccouche, Head of Wholesale and International
at Tunisie Telecom. "Deploying Telarix's iXTools will enable Tunisie
Telecom to dramatically increase the financial management of our
interconnect business, allowing us to make faster decisions that
increase revenue opportunities and reduce costs."
"Forward looking service providers like Tunisie Telecom are
deploying next generation business optimization solutions that can
increase the overall effectiveness of their interconnect operations
and drive revenue growth," said Don Lynch, CEO of Telarix. "By
implementing iXTools, Tunisie Telecom can react quickly to margin
opportunities while enhancing their overall service delivery
capabilities to their customers."
Telarix's iXTools is a powerful suite of software modules that
enables carriers to reduce costs and increase profitability across
their interconnect networks. By analyzing both revenue and cost
information associated with telecom traffic in near real-time,
carriers can optimize network routing and identify financial risks and
opportunities while ensuring that every call is captured, rated and
billed accurately. Three of the world's five largest telecom providers
depend on iXTools to optimize their interconnect business.
The Yankee Group named Telarix as one of the only interconnect
solutions providers to address the four critical value areas for
service providers: Route Optimization; Pricing and Margin Management;
Billing; and Verification, Audit and Reconciliation.
