Manhattan Associates' Distribution and Transportation Solutions Ready-To-Run on
IBM Virtualization Technology

ATLANTA, Oct. 26, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The growing use of server
virtualization technology has enabled companies to reduce costs and overhead
while optimizing computing resources throughout the enterprise. Though the
technology creates deployment flexibility, it can also result in performance
issues if high-yield solutions running on the server are not tested for a
virtualized environment. To support this technology, Manhattan Associates
(Nasdaq:MANH) today announced that its Warehouse Management (WMS) and
Transportation, Planning and Execution (TP&E) solutions are tested and
ready-to-run on the IBM AIX 6.1 operating system, featuring PowerVM
virtualization technology.

IBM PowerVM technology provides industrial strength virtualization for AIX
operating systems on IBM Power Systems. PowerVM virtualizes processor and I/O
resources for client partitions, enabling increased asset utilization, enhanced
infrastructure flexibility and reduced costs. Virtualization technology allows
organizations to consolidate multiple operating systems and software stacks on a
single platform, and allocate the platform to meet specific business and
application requirements in a more dynamic fashion.

"Virtualization of our Manhattan Associates solutions on IBM Power Systems
technology has enabled us to respond rapidly to new business requirements and to
create test and development environments at no incremental cost in terms of
hardware or power consumption," said David Markwell, vice president, information
technology for Loblaw Companies Limited, a Manhattan WMS customer.

Manhattan Associates' WMS, the centerpiece of Manhattan Associates' Distribution
Management product suite, is designed for optimal collaboration and
communication with an extensive network of suppliers and partners. TP&E, a
solution within in the Manhattan Transportation Lifecycle Management suite,
provides customers advanced logistics capabilities with end-to-end visibility
into all shipping activities. Manhattan Associates' products are also optimized
with a broad range of IBM software products.
