SEATTLE, WA, Aug 04 (MARKET WIRE) --
Current trends in the healthcare industry showcase increasing use of
technology to create internal efficiencies, to compete more effectively
in the digital marketplace, and to provide subscribers and patients with
the control and accessibility of health information they seek. Meeting
this growing demand, Seattle-based Cypress Consulting, a business
consulting, technology and creative services firm, demonstrates its marked
success in this market using three unique projects.
In January, the Cystic Fibrosis Therapeutics Development Network
Coordinating Center (TDNCC), a research program of Seattle Children's
Hospital Research Institute, partnered with Cypress Consulting to develop
a modernized interactive website to help the network facilitate rapid,
safe and coordinated evaluation of new treatments for Cystic Fibrosis.
Cypress combined Microsoft Office SharePoint(R) Server 2007 capabilities
with its own custom design to create a secure place for efficient and
effective collaboration between network members. Completed in June, the
new CF ClinicalResearchNet was launched, improving information sharing and
workflow automation, and providing a centralized point of network
administration and user management.
"Cypress Consulting helped us create a faster and easier process for
something we had been doing for many years," said Drew House, director of
business & fiscal operations for the TDNCC at Seattle Children's. "Our
researchers now have an improved, web-based system to support submission,
review and feedback for cystic fibrosis clinical trial protocols. This
tool automates challenging processes, and also provides greater
opportunities for exchange of information and ideas between researchers.
We expect CF ClinicalResearchNet to help ensure quality and safety in the
rapidly expanding field of cystic fibrosis clinical research."
For the Northwest Reproductive Science Center, Cypress Consulting was
selected to develop a fresh online brand that demonstrated the
organization's in-vitro and embryo freezing services, and provided a new
digital tool for communicating with its current and future patients. In
response, Cypress produced a rich, image-intense plan to meet the new
site's goals of being warm and inviting; providing concise and easy to
read content; improving search engine listings; and enabling in-house
management via the incorporation of a new Sitecore content management
system. "Thanks to Cypress Consulting, we converted our old text-heavy,
hard to navigate Website into a place that our patients feel comfortable
and confident searching for information, learning about treatments, and
researching our physicians," said Michael Opsahl, MD, medical director.
"In addition, the search engine optimization and ongoing search marketing
services Cypress provides lets us actively utilize the web as a means of
attracting new patients who are looking for a highly successful
Infertility Center with state-of-the-art infertility treatments in an
atmosphere of personalized care."
In another project launching this month, Cypress Consulting partnered with
Qualis Health to deliver a new Web brand for Medicare beneficiaries in
Washington State and Idaho. Qualis' existing site has undergone limited
updates from a design and content perspective, and rather than
overhauling the entire corporate site, the company chose to create a
separate micro-site that accurately reflected its brand and scope of
services. "Cypress Consulting helped us maintain our essence as a
non-profit organization and avoid the look and feel of traditional
medical organization Websites by incorporating flash technology and rich
imagery," said Joyce Shaw, vice president corporate communications. "The
result is a visually engaging way to communicate with our audiences, and
includes key features like the simple ability to increase the font size
and a purposeful effort to reach a more diverse audience."
Cypress Consulting is nationally recognized for its innovative use of
creative and technical aesthetics that deliver companies with an
enlivened, easy to maintain Web experience. The company commonly provides
training on new technologies that are incorporated into its solutions,
and emphasizes the creation of a cohesive interactive brand that drives
bottom-line results. According to founder Nate Thompson, "We've
experienced notable success in markets like the healthcare sector that
are less-served by interactive business consulting firms, and strive to
continue to increase our presence in this market. With both our business
and interactive consulting services, we can help healthcare organizations
utilize technology to drive internal efficiencies, better connect with
customers and even act as a cost-effective customer acquisition tool."
