on a 4G Fibre Channel SBB controller at booth N1204
MINNEAPOLIS--(Business Wire)--
Ciprico Inc. (NASDAQ: CPCI), a leading provider of intelligent
storage software, solutions and appliances, will be demonstrating a
Storage Bridge Bay (SBB) RAID controller running in Advanced
Industrial Computer's (AIC) 12-drive, 2U SBB chassis at the Computex
show in Taipei week of June 3rd. The AIC chassis supports both
Ciprico's own AMD based fully intelligent controller as well as
Intel's new SBB controller reference design. Ciprico's SBB solution is
currently being evaluated by a number of strategic customers and is
scheduled to be released this summer.

"SBB standardizes controller and enclosure specifications giving
Ciprico the freedom to focus on storage innovation instead of form
factor with a vastly reduced development cost and time to market,"
said Andy Mills, senior vice president marketing and development at
Ciprico. "We chose an SBB based AMD-server class solution for our
TALON(R) 4 product family, and were able to rapidly bring up our
controller in AIC's first SBB chassis demonstrating just how seamless
the transition from one chassis to another can be."

"We are extremely pleased to be working with Ciprico on this
project," said Gene Lee, vice president of AIC. "To further show how
flexible our SBB solution is, we are also showing an Intel based SBB
controller at Ciprico's booth for this same chassis to reinforce just
how flexible this approach can be."

The Storage Bridge Bay Working Group is a co-operative, non-profit
effort created to drive standardization of external storage to create
a set of commons specs to simplify the manufacturing of entry level
and mid tier storage devices. Ciprico will be displaying the SBB
solution at booth N1204.
