Replacement project will help progressive cable provider establish next-
generation billing capabilities across broadband cable, Internet and voice
ST. LOUIS, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the
leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that
BendBroadband, an Oregon-based, U.S. triple-play provider, selected Amdocs for
next-generation billing, ordering and customer care. Amdocs' software will
replace a competitor's legacy platform to help BendBroadband decrease time-to-
market for new broadband cable, Internet and voice offerings.
The next-generation Amdocs platform will provide BendBroadband with the
flexibility to quickly and cost-effectively enrich its triple-play offering.
BendBroadband will be able to rapidly implement new applications and services
to boost revenue per customer, strengthen its brand, and drive loyalty, profit
and growth.
"We view billing as the core of all our back office and product systems
and integral to our ability to delight customers, market products and monitor
issues. These factors drove our decision to move from a hosted environment to
the Amdocs system which enables us to better manage the complexities of our
business," said Amy Tykeson, president and chief executive officer at
BendBroadband. "By working with Amdocs, we will gain more control over
billing, data, provisioning and integration with third-party vendor
applications, and be able to differentiate the BendBroadband brand with a
unique and personalized customer experience."
"Providers at the vanguard of the industry, such as BendBroadband, realize
they cannot compete on technology alone. Increasingly, they compete on the
basis of the customer experience they deliver," said Charles Born, vice
president of corporate communications at Amdocs. "By deploying our systems,
BendBroadband will be able to evolve with the Amdocs customer experience
systems blueprint. BendBroadband will further set itself apart from the
competition, offering an intentional customer experience to different customer
audiences, and ensuring it is seamless across services and devices."
