Battery Fair

NEW YORK and HARBIN, China, July 1, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Advanced Battery
Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ABAT) today announced that it attended the Eighth
China International Battery Fair (CIBF) hosted by China Industrial Association
of Power Sources (CIAPS) in Tianjin, China. CIBF is the largest and most
attended battery industry exhibition in all of China. Attendees include battery
developers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and battery users. Also in attendance
are electric-vehicle makers, consumer and industrial electronic producers from
around the globe. Advanced Battery Technologies, Inc. develops, manufactures,
and distributes rechargeable polymer lithium-ion (PLI) battery cells for use in
electric vehicles, mining equipment, and a variety of other consumer
electronics.

During the fair, ABAT's polymer lithium-ion (PLI) battery cell received a number
of positive responses from attendees. "The Eighth Bi-annual China International
