DENVER--(Business Wire)--
The Constitution Island Association, Inc., a non-profit
organization dedicated to preserving the history of the area
surrounding West Point, has selected Olive Software to digitize its
extensive archive of historic documents dating back to the
Revolutionary War.

Constitution Island played a key role in American History,
starting with the Revolutionary War. Olive will digitize 100,000 pages
of historic material chronicling 200 years of life on Constitution
Island, creating a fully indexed and searchable online archive open to
the general public.

"Constitution Island played a pivotal role during the
Revolutionary War. We wanted a way to preserve its rich history in a
manner that makes the collection of documents accessible while
maintaining their original appearance and context," stated Richard de
Koster, Executive Director of the Constitution Island Association.
"Olive made it easy for us to bring our collection to life. Soon,
scholars worldwide will be able to study these rare documents over the
Internet."

"The project brings a whole new dimension to rare documents from
the Revolutionary War period," commented Yuval Rachmilevitz, President
and CEO of Olive Software. "Olive provides anywhere, anytime access to
these unique and historic documents, allowing researchers to dig
deeper into original sources and uncover new insights."

Leading universities, libraries, and research institutions around
the world, such as Penn State, Princeton University, Washington
Research Library Consortium and The Brooklyn Public Library rely on
Olive to preserve their historic collections, while making them fully
searchable and available through a Web browser.
