Tue Nov 3, 2009 8:45am EST
SINGAPORE--(Business Wire)--
Sephora has opened its new flagship 1,200 m² store in Singapore in the heart of
the prestigious Ion Orchard shopping centre, inaugurated last October. It is
Sephora`s largest store in South East Asia and is located on the ground floor in
the `luxury` space of the shopping centre.

The business opened its first store in Singapore (400m²) in December 2008.

Sephora`s strategy is to be a pioneer and leader in selective retailing for the
perfumes and cosmetics sector. As such, Sephora opened its first store in
Shanghai, China, in 2005. Today, the brand has more than 60 stores in China.

Jacques Levy, President of Sephora Worldwide, said: "This opening is another
step in Sephora`s successful international expansion and illustrates our desire
to be a leader in emerging markets with strong growth potential. It is one of
the largest of our network of 1,000 stores across the world and will become
Sephora`s reference outlet in Asia."

About Sephora

Sephora`s global network includes more than 1,000 points of sale in 25 countries
across the world. Europe has around 640 stores and 240 in North America (of
which 225 in the United States, 14 in Canada and a first store has been opened
in Puerto Rico). 10 stores were opened in China during the half year, which
brings the total number of Sephora stores in China to over 60.
