(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/0da5b6/european_oil_free) has
announced the addition of Frost & Sullivan's new report "European Oil Free
Compressors Market" to their offering.

This Frost & Sullivan research service titled European Oil-free Compressors
Market provides a detailed analysis of the industry challenges, market drivers,
and market restraints during the financial crisis, as well as overall revenue
forecasts till 2015 for each of the following product markets - reciprocating,
rotary screw and centrifugal compressors. In this research, Frost & Sullivan's
expert analysts thoroughly examine the following end-user segments: electronics,
textile, power-generation, food and beverage, life science and others.

Growing Need for High Air Quality to Boost the European Oil-Free Compressors
Market

Lately, there has been a high demand for oil-free compressors because they
provide high air quality, reliability and lower installation and maintenance
costs. Future government policies on energy conservation and environmental
protection are also anticipated to boost growth in this market. However, vendors
face challenges such as intense competition, the need for greater focus on
research and development (R&D), increased flexibility towards end-user
requirements and the provision of enhanced service offerings. "The most
important factor driving the oil-free compressors market is the demand for high
air quality," says the analyst of this research. "There is burgeoning demand
from several critical application segments such as food and beverage and life
sciences for 100 per cent clean compressed air, leading to an increasing number
of users investing in oil-free air compressors."

The slightest oil contamination in such purity-critical, compressed-air
applications can result in damaged products or product batches, high rejection
rates and returns and expensive production downtime and cleanup. Rectifying this
is an unaffordable proposition for end users. Oil-free compressors eliminate the
presence of oil completely, resulting in high-quality air. No oil inside the
compressed air results in no contamination in air-circuit components such as
filter cartridges, desiccant material, and rubber elements and no pollution
throughout the life of the machine.

Small Oil-free Compressor Providers to Focus on Niche Industrial Markets to Keep
Pace with the Competition

However, funds in this market have been delayed because end users in the
electronics, automotive and the pulp and paper segments are struggling with
their investments in the current global financial crisis. They have responded
either by shutting down or postponing production in various plants across all
regions. "The European oil-free compressors market is expected to continue
facing competitive pressure throughout the long-term," notes the analyst. "With
modest growth in overall revenues and general maturity across industries, the
key means for growth is to obtain market share from the competition and the
suppliers are likely to focus on ensuring they offer high quality, reliable, and
advanced technology at competitive prices."

Oil-free compressor vendors entering this market should be able to compete with
multinational vendors who account for approximately 70 per cent of the market,
indicating a highly consolidated market structure. End users are aware of
multinational oil-free compressor suppliers who offer good service and products
that are well established. Regardless of how the market is consolidated, small
oil-free compressor providers should focus on serving niche industrial markets
such as manufacturing, oil and gas and chemical. They can also make competitive
gains by offering products that have a diverse performance range (very high
pressure, very high flow rate). "Such activities will help smaller suppliers
find their own customers and become more competitive in the market," explains
the analyst. "At the same time, multinational suppliers will retain their market
position by offering high quality, reliable, and advanced technology at
competitive prices."
