WORCESTER, Mass.--(Business Wire)--
The Coghlin Companies Inc. completed the acquisition of the assets
of KEF, Inc., (doing business as Stonebridge), a Worcester,
MA-based precision machining and certified welding company.
Stonebridge has offered precision machining and certified welding
services to the defense, marine, medical, commercial and
communications industries since 1962. Terms of the acquisition were
not disclosed.

Coghlin Companies President and CEO, Chris Coghlin, stated that
the acquisition of Stonebridge provides a great opportunity for The
Coghlin Companies to introduce its other wholly-owned subsidiaries;
Columbia Tech, Cogmedix and DCI Engineering Services to existing
Stonebridge customers seeking higher level manufacturing and
engineering services and complete turnkey product builds.

Coghlin also stated that the deal was very synergistic. "The fact
that the majority of products which Columbia Tech, Cogmedix and
DCI build for its customers consume precision machine components
and weldments, affords a unique opportunity for our
collective companies to reduce the overall cost and shorten the
lead-time cycle of these products. This could provide our current and
future customers a tremendous advantage in the marketplace, " Coghlin
said.

Coghlin Companies has formed a new wholly-owned subsidiary,
Coghlin Precision, Inc. Coghlin Precision, Inc. will operate under the
name Coghlin Precision and will continue its operations at 650 Lincoln
