Detroit Tool Metal Products Targets Military and Defense Contracts

LEBANON, Mo., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit Tool Metal Products (DTMP) has
announced that its strategy to focus on Military and Defense contracts is on
track.   Offering a variety of options for product support including land
support vehicles, transportation equipment, energy storage, and ground support
and preparation, DTMP has seen a significant growth in this market.

"Our business in the military and defense markets has grown more than 70%
since 2006," said Steve Westfall, President and Chief Executive Officer of
DTMP.  "Our year over year growth has been 57% this year alone, and this
market now accounts for about 12% of our over-all business."

Recently, DTMP received approval for $2 million in funding to develop an
improved manufacturing process for the use of advanced titanium metal in
military vehicles from the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee.  The funding
is part of a $214 million appropriation package ushered through the Senate
Appropriations Committee by Missouri Senator Kit Bond to be used in important
defense projects.

With six significant customers in this industry segment, DTMP is looking to be
the vender of choice for military vehicles, mission critical systems and
sustainment solutions, high technology battery protection, and technology for
the transport sector.
