DURHAM, N.C.--(Business Wire)--
Contactology, a provider of email marketing and online survey
technologies, announced that the Morehead-Cain Scholars Program has
incorporated its technology as an integral part of streamlined
communications with applicants, current scholars, and alumni.

Providing four-year undergraduate scholarships to the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Morehead-Cain Scholars Program
is considered the premier scholarship program in the country. As such,
it is essential that all communications reflect the very high standard
for which the organization is known.

The organization previously employed an inefficient combination of
separate services: a listserv system, mail merge email software, and
an online subscription for forms and surveys. Without the ability to
effectively collect data, manage contact lists, customize templates,
and track click-thru behavior, Morehead-Cain was losing an invaluable
opportunity to adjust campaigns depending on reader interest and drive
subscribers to its web site. In addition, team members had to review
email and survey responses and manually cut-and-paste requested data
into updated scholar applications.

"After researching comparable offerings, we found that
Contactology provided the best variety of enterprise-level email
capabilities and services for the cost," said Jennifer Bahus,
Morehead-Cain Scholars Program communications manager.

Morehead-Cain is unique in that they use Contactology
cross-functionally to communicate with subscribers in a variety of
ways. The communications team builds clean, simple templates for
bi-monthly newsletters sent to thousands of program alumni and weekly
notifications to current scholars. The selections team relies on
Contactology to communicate with scholar applicants, notifying them of
advancement and other status updates.

"We want to know what our contacts are reading and what topics
they are most interested in," said Bahus. "Contactology provides us
with a level of reported data we did not have before. We're finding
that readers are interested in learning about new program offerings
and are clicking-thru to our web site most often for multimedia
content. Moving forward, we can take these findings and adjust our
campaigns to make sure we're addressing the most relevant issues."

In addition, Contactology allows Morehead-Cain to integrate its
email functions with unique survey capabilities in one easy-to-use
web-based interface. Specifically, the selections team uses
Contactology's survey capabilities to gather aggregate data on
individual candidates from school counselors and other administrators.
As an individual response tool, survey forms are used to collect
application updates and compile new information from candidates. Data
can be exported into a spreadsheet, manipulated as necessary, and
included in the student's application packet.

According to Bahus, "Contactology has made all of our
communications processes much simpler. I am amazed at the amount of
valuable information we have easily gathered from our contacts.
Contactology saves us a great deal of time, prevents user input error,
and gets the most current information all in one place."
