Raytheon Receives Clearing the Path Award from Marshall Legacy Institute

TEWKSBURY, Mass., Oct. 23, 2009 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN)
received the 2009 Clearing the Path Corporate Award from the Marshall Legacy
Institute (MLI) during the group's annual awards and benefit dinner.


The dinner, held in Washington, D.C., is MLI's annual event to recognize
supporters and highlight the accomplishments of the last year. 


"Raytheon is committed to supporting MLI's important humanitarian mission of
removing landmines," said Joseph "Skip" Garrett, vice president and deputy for
Patriot Programs at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems who accepted the award
on behalf of Raytheon. "We also share a commitment to strengthening today's

CHAMPS program."
