First Corporate Bike Share Program Launches
OGILVYBIKES TAKES TO NY STREETS ON SCAVENGER TWEET CONTEST

WHAT:
Three teams from Ogilvy & Mather New York will take to the West Side, Hell's
Kitchen and Central Park on Ogilvy's new "Breezer Bicycles" to launch the new
OgilvyBikes, corporate bicycle sharing program. The winning team will be the
first to post photo tweets of selected stops on the route which will be aired
on an Aerva Screen at Ogilvy.
WHERE:
A celebration at Ogilvy Cafe in our new Headquarters building -- The Chocolate
Factory -- at 636 11th Avenue will follow the Scavenger Tweet.
WHO:
Three teams of employees at Ogilvy & Mather New York, joined by
representatives from Transportation Alternatives.
WHY:
Ogilvy's recent move to a new corporate headquarters provided an opportunity
for the agency to make sustainability a corporate mission. The agency has
applied for LEED Certification for its new space. OgilvyBikes is one part of
its move to reduce its carbon footprint and also supports the health and
well-being of staff.
HOW:
OgilvyBikes features:
-- 50 Breezer Bikes outfitted for NY City Streets
-- NY bicycle training program by NY Bikes for all employee participants
-- 1,000 bicycle helmets to be given to employees
-- Shower facilities, parking garage for 100 bikes, bicycle locks
-- Ongoing biking events for staff
