ClearSight Networks Adds Atlas(R) Option to Its Industry-Leading Network Time Machine(R)

Network Time Machine Technology Now Includes Data Mining
             Capabilities for Captured Network Information
FREMONT, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
ClearSight Networks, a worldwide provider of award-winning
application and analysis tools for today's dynamic networks, today
announced that it has significantly expanded the capabilities of its
market-leading network capture appliance, the Network Time Machine
(NTM), with the introduction of version 6.5. Leveraging ClearSight's
expertise and experience in protocol analysis and data collection
technologies, the company has developed Atlas, a time-based,
historical analysis tool to capture, index, and archive all network
traffic, and store it in a large RAID-based storage system. In
addition, ClearSight announced the availability of NTM Distributed
with multi-user capabilities, allowing for up to four simultaneous
users to access a single NTM probe.

With Atlas, the enhanced NTM platform now has the ability to
analyze and categorize all Ethernet network traffic, and provides for
a quick and easy way to retrieve key statistics and information from
this data. In addition, unlike some competitive offerings, the NTM
uses enterprise class SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) drive technologies on
the backend, as well as a RAID storage controller on the front end,
providing unparalleled levels of performance and data protection. The
Premium2, ClearSight's highest performing NTM, is equipped with two
quad Core CPUs -- or eight processors -- and over 4 terabytes of
storage. There are also 13 and 44 terabyte versions.

"The NTM dramatically simplifies the approach to network
troubleshooting," said Sam Li, CEO and cofounder, ClearSight Networks.
"With advanced functionality and features, including the ability to
monitor network data in real time while continuously capturing every
single packet, our new NTM delivers industry-leading expertise to
troubleshooting network environments, accelerating time to root-cause
identification and problem resolution. With NTM, users can ensure the
health and reliability of their networks by pinpointing problems and
bottlenecks that competing solutions can not even see."

With the bandwidth requirements of network users growing at
unprecedented rates, the use of long term network capture appliances
in conjunction with more traditional troubleshooting and monitoring
tools is quickly becoming an IT best practice. The NTM has integrated
the ClearSight Analyzer product with the capture appliance, providing
network engineers and administrators with data mining and protocol
analysis capabilities in a single best-of-breed tool.

"NTT Marketing Act is an operating arm of Nippon Telegraph and
Telephone, the largest carrier in Japan, and we have been using the
ClearSight NTM product for nearly two years," said Hidezou Shinbo,
Section Manager, NTT Marketing Act. "Before we deployed the NTMs to
our sites in Tokyo and Osaka, we found it difficult to pinpoint the
cause of network issues, particularly those experienced by our
teleconference service customers. The ClearSight NTM, however, enables
us to determine the source of these problems, whether it is on the
user, system, or network side. This capability has enabled NTT to
exceed the service level agreements that we have set with our
customers."

NTM 6.5 and the Atlas option are currently shipping. Pricing for
the NTM begins at $33,700 and $5,000 for the Atlas module. For
