eWorld Companies, Inc. Announces Strategic Marketing Alliance with
MOVIEGUIDE(R), Including Private Label License of Boomerang Media Station(R)
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- eWorld Companies, Inc.
(Pink Sheets: EWRL) announced today that it has entered into a Strategic
Marketing Alliance with MOVIEGUIDE(R), one of the most powerful and
influential voices of the Christian Community in regards to film reviews and
viewership. Under the terms of the agreement, eWorld will provide MOVIEGUIDE
with a customized Private Label Boomerang Media Station(R) and software and
license to use the software, which MOVIEGUIDE will use to enhance its
communications and broadcast its services to its 11 million+ viewers.
MOVIEGUIDE viewers will also have ready access to existing features of
eWorld's Boomerang Media Station(R), including exclusive entertainment
programming via eWorld's PlayTV(R) online broadcasting network.
This agreement is noteworthy in that it represents the first time that
eWorld has issued a private license of its Boomerang Media Station software,
which the company has announced that they will continue to make available in
the future to select strategic partners. Each private label Boomerang will
be customized to the needs of the individual licensee, however all Boomerangs
will be linked to eWorld's advertising and marketing programs and each
licensee will participate in a revenue-sharing of the advertising and
marketing revenues they generate through all Boomerangs downloaded through
their efforts. These private label agreements are expected to significantly
impact eWorld's bottom line by both increasing the total number of Boomerang
downloads, which will increase ad revenues, and by generating a large number
of additional product sales and subscriptions.
ABOUT MOVIEGUIDE(R)
MOVIEGUIDE was founded in 1985 by Dr. Ted Baehr, past president of the
Episcopal Radio & Television Foundation and former director of the Television
Center at the City University of New York. MOVIEGUIDE is affiliated with the
Christian Film & Television Commission ministry, also founded by Dr. Baehr,
which is a non-profit ministry of Good News Communications, Inc. Both
MOVIEGUIDE and CFTVC are dedicated to redeeming the values of the
entertainment industry, according to biblical principles. Every four weeks
MOVIEGUIDE publishes at least 20 reviews of current movies in a magazine
version. Acceptability ratings, which are geared to parents with children but
also provide information for discerning adult viewers, are arranged not only
according to age levels, but also according to a traditional Christian view of
art. MOVIEGUIDE also delivers a two-minute and half-hour TV show and a
two-minute and half-hour radio show around the world via broadcast, cablecast
and satellite-cast in more than 200 countries and territories. The magazine
and Internet versions of MOVIEGUIDE include news from the entertainment
industry, insightful articles on trends and beliefs, and interviews with top
filmmakers and actors. When MOVIEGUIDE started in 1985, only 6% of the movies
were aimed at families; by 2002, 45% of the movies released in theaters were
aimed at families. Those family films grossed an average 200% better than
movies aimed at the adult marketplace. Also in 1985, 81% of the movies were
rated R, but since 2001, less than 45% of the movies released theatrically
were R-rated. In 2005, only two of the top 20 grossing movies were R-rated.
