Parentgiving.com to Honor Deserving Caregivers in the First Annual
Parentgivers of the Year Awards
MONTCLAIR, N.J., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Parentgiving.com, the only
comprehensive online resource created to help time-starved baby boomers
provide better care for their aging parents, announces the launch of the first
annual Parentgivers of the Year Awards. www.Parentgiving.com will honor six
selfless caregivers who care for an aging adult while also caring for their
own families. Nominations will be accepted beginning July 13 via the
Parentgiving website (www.Parentgiving.com) and will be accepted through
October 1, 2009. On October 15, an online voting round will begin for 10 top
nominees. Voting will close on October 31, and the Parentgiversof the Year
will be announced in November during National Family Caregiving month.

How to Nominate: Beginning on July 13, nominations can be made at
www.Parentgiving.com/nominate. Nominate the most selfless and dedicated
caregiver you know (or you can self-nominate) by submitting an essay of up to
1000 words that describes their caregiving experience. Nominations can be
made by friends, family, colleagues, senior care professionals, etc. To be
eligible to win, nominated caregivers must be currently caregiving for one or
more elderly individuals.
The Parentgiver of the Year Grand Prize Winner will win $3,500 in prizes as
follows: up to $2,000 toward a spa getaway, up to $1,000 for home care
services while they are away, and a $500 gift certificate for the Parentgiving
Store. In addition, five Finalists will each receive a $200 gift certificate
for the Parentgiving Store. All Parentgivers of the Year will be selected by
a panel of judges that includes co-founder Bob Silver, Managing Editor Julie
Davis and elder care and health experts. The selection of the Parentgivers of
the Year will be based on the psychological, social, financial and medical
issues faced, challenges that have been overcome to provide care, sacrifices
made, and the impact the care has had on the individual. For more information
