Polypore International, Inc. Scheduled to Present at Two Upcoming Investor Conferences

CHARLOTTE, N.C., June 2, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Polypore International, Inc.
(NYSE:PPO) today announced that it will be presenting at two upcoming investor
conferences in June.

The first will be the JPMorgan 3rd Annual Basics & Industrials Conference, which
takes place at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City on June
3-4, 2008. The investor presentation by Polypore's management is scheduled at
4:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 4, 2008. A link to the webcast will be available

The second, the William Blair 28th Annual Growth Stock Conference, takes place
at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, on June 16-19, 2008. The
