WaveMaker Visual Ajax Studio 3.2 adds Support for the Mac OS 10.5
(Leopard) and the Safari Browser; Provides Freedom of Choice to Web
2.0 Developers
SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)--
WaveMaker(TM), a provider of open source tools for rapid Web
application development, today announced the release of Visual Ajax
Studio(TM) version 3.2. The new version introduces a beta installer
for Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard) and full support for the Safari Browser,
bringing WaveMaker's drag-and-drop Java development to the Mac.
WaveMaker will be offering tutorials this week at the Web 2.0 Expo in
San Francisco.
"WaveMaker's Visual Ajax Studio for Mac comes at a very opportune
time," said Jean-Louis Gasse, General Partner at Allegis Capital and
ex-Apple executive. "Apple is gaining momentum in the enterprise and
WaveMaker gives enterprise users an easy and visual way to build Web
applications."
"WaveMaker's visual tool allows new developers and talented HTML
jockeys to build full J2EE Web applications with a few clicks--zero to
CRUD (create, update, delete data) in five minutes or less," wrote
Peter Wayner, contributing editor to the InfoWorld Test Center, in an
April 17, 2008 product review of WaveMaker Visual Ajax Studio. In the
review, Wayner gave WaveMaker an overall rating of "Very Good,"
including a score of nine out of ten for "ease of development."
The WaveMaker Visual Ajax Studio lets users create database-driven
Java Web applications without having to write complex code. Using
WaveMaker, IT managers and the users they support can significantly
reduce development time while enabling increased participation,
feedback and collaboration.
"WaveMaker aims to be the visual builder of choice for Web 2.0,"
said Christopher Keene, CEO of WaveMaker. "The Mac platform and Safari
browser have become defacto standards in the open source community. By
making Visual Ajax Studio available to Mac and Safari users, we can
support our growing community of developers and better meet the
requirements of our customers."
