Omnivex Moxie wins DIGI Award for best new premise based content management
software
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
During a presentation ceremony held yesterday at The Digital Signage
Show/KioskCom, the winners of the 5th annual DIGI Awards were announced. Omnivex
Corporation won the award for Best Premise Based Content Management Software for
its newest software suite, Moxie. The DIGI Awards honor innovation in the
digital signage industry. Moxie introduces the concept of intelligent content -
the ability for the software to decide what to present on the screen based on
internal and external information or pre-defined business rules (artificial
intelligence). This is the third consecutive year Omnivex has won a DIGI Award.

Moxie`s patent pending technologies allows customers to deliver a comprehensive,
enterprise-level visual communications solution based on the latest in
technological innovation. Moxie`s ability to determine what to present on the
screen based on internal and external information saves hours of content
creation and scheduling time, dramatically reduces distribution costs and
provides instant updates to increase the effectiveness of messages. Any
parameter such as size, position, opacity and color can be tied to real-time
data so information can appear and change based on current events. Moxie has an
enhanced graphics engine, with content rendered in real time.

"As the Chair of the Judges Committee for the DIGI Awards, I can say that this
year we have an unusually great crop of entries," said David Keene, Editor of
Digital Signage Magazine. "The DIGI Awards recognize the resellers, integrators
and service providers who have gone the extra mile to ensure success for their
clients, thereby furthering the digital signage industry as a whole. And new
this year, we`ve added New Product Awards. There are so many great new products
being introduced for this market, it`s time we began recognizing excellence for
tools, not just applications," said Keene. "Omnivex has been at the forefront of
adding what they call 'Contextual Communication' to digital signage, in other
words, making the content respond real time to changes in the environment-from
shoppers, commuters, etc. Moxie is a big step forward in this effort," concluded
Keene.

Omnivex is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and has been developing digital
signage software to manage enterprise-level networks for almost two decades. "We
know that effectively engaging audiences to inform, motivate and persuade is not
just about creative content, it`s also about timing, environment and relevance.
In a word, it`s about context," said Jeff Collard, Omnivex president. He
continued, "Contextual communication is critical to every business and Moxie
provides the software tools to deliver messages to their intended audience at
the most effective time." With Moxie, Omnivex has created the most advanced and
comprehensive digital signage software available on the market today.

Moxie software was released to market in March of this year. Since its release,
Moxie software has been deployed to manage digital content on display networks
for many different types and sizes of customers. Two recent, notable deployments
are a 300-plus screen installation at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment`s Air
Canada Centre in Toronto, and a 250 screen deployment at Portland`s Rose Garden
Arena. Both deployments have received very positive feedback from their network
operators, audiences viewing the screens and industry experts alike.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - If the men accused of plotting the September 11 attacks wonder what conditions they might face when they are moved to New York from Guantanamo Bay for trial, they can expect solitary confinement, 23-hour-a-day lockdowns, constant video surveillance and almost no visitors.
