Enhancements Include Robust Migration Capabilities
CARY, N.C.--(Business Wire)--
Ultimus, Inc., developer of one of the most widely-deployed
business process management software suites in the world, today
announced the availability of the latest installment of its Adaptive
BPM Suite. Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite 8.1 introduces a powerful new
migration tool which enables current users to easily upgrade business
processes to the latest platform. Additional enhancements are based
directly on customer feedback and Ultimus' continued visionary
leadership in the BPM space.
This update follows on the heels of a major release last year in
which Ultimus provided tighter integration with Microsoft SharePoint,
collaborative clients, SOA-based architecture, and easier access to
business data via a new XML data model.
"Migration is often a daunting prospect to any IT or Applications
administrator - it typically requires significant preparation followed
by an extended data transition with a light-switch mentality," said
Chris Adams, Vice President of Product Marketing and Management.
"However, the migration tools which are an integral part of Ultimus
Adaptive BPM Suite 8.1 permit migrations to execute while the existing
BPM Servers continue to process live tasks. Moreover, Ultimus
migrations can be executed process by process. This type of gradual
and methodical migration allows for the necessary testing, training,
confirmation, and rollout that is part of every successful enterprise
level migration."
"BPM is quickly emerging as the key focus for the convergence of
business processes with the business user. This agenda can only be
realized by simple, pervasive and easy-to-use tools for process
experts," said Vuk Trifkovic, senior analyst, Datamonitor. "The
Ultimus Adaptive BPM suite is one example of such a solution catering
to business-driven scenarios that call for a high-level of human
interaction by providing intuitive process modelling tools, inventive
presentation devices and a pragmatic approach to process information
dissemination."
In addition to migration capabilities, major new benefits of
Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite 8.1 include expanded support of Microsoft
Vista, greater visibility of business data through enhanced reporting
(including new 3D graphics), and support for Microsoft virtual
technologies. Ultimus also provides new advanced web form development
features as well as a number of performance enhancements to many
features and functions.
"We designed this release to further strengthen our strategy of
enabling the design, optimization, and maturation of people-centric
business processes," said Adams. "Our goal is to provide the features
and capabilities required to enable business process champions to
build functional processes, then optimize and mature those processes
after they go live."
