Emtec Creates Integrated Network Within Five Months, Servicing 233,000
Square-Foot Facility
MARLTON, N.J.--(Business Wire)--
Emtec, Inc. (OTCBB:ETEC), a systems integrator, today announced that Indiana
Live! Casino, a premier entertainment destination, selected the company to
design a fully integrated network infrastructure in under five months to support
its 233,000 square foot facility. Emtec was responsible for designing and
implementing an integrated network for the entertainment complex which included
updating the existing network and back-end financial systems, while encompassing
a security system that would segregate traffic according to gaming commission
regulations.
Indiana Live! Casino was previously operated out of a 70,000-square-foot
temporary tent facility while the permanent facility was being constructed.
Emtec was brought on-board in August 2008 to make modifications to the network
which supports all casino operations, including 2,000 slot machines, electronic
gaming tables, six bars, one nightclub and three restaurants.
"Given the deep expertise Emtec brings, we knew they would provide a seamless
transition from our temporary casino to our new state of the art facility," said
Don Kneisel, Vice President of Information Technology for the Cordish
Company-Gaming Operations. "We were focused on three specific areas that
comprised of security, wireless capabilities and an integrated network. Emtec
was able to deliver on all of these aspects and did so in a condensed time
period. I am thoroughly impressed with Emtec and have already recommended them
to others in the industry."
Demonstrating strong expertise in the gaming industry, Emtec has a long track
record of successful network implementations for customers such as Tropicana,
Resorts International, Harrah`s, and Mt. Airy Hotel and Casino. There are
several critical components when building network infrastructures for the gaming
community and the security measures that must be implemented are at the top of
the list for many organizations. Emtec has a solid understanding of all
regulations and security requirements for casinos and ensured Indiana Live!
Casino met all gaming commission regulations.
"Having worked with several gaming casinos in the past, we were confident that
we could do a network design and implementation for Indiana Live! Casino within
the five month deadline," said Colwyn Warner, Chief Technologist, Emtec, Inc.
"During the implementation, we focused on providing them with next-generation
wireless capabilities, addressing security regulations while building a
comprehensive network that can uphold future growth. We look forward to working
with Indiana Live! Casino on additional projects in the future."
