Zero Motorcycles Wins First Official Electric Off-Road Motorcycle Challenge in
France
- The Zero MX Defeats Electric Competitors to Take First Place at Event -

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Zero Motorcycles today announced
its win at the Electric Motorcycle Challenge, organized by the French
Federation of Motorcycles in Gironville, France. Over 250 riders competed in
the race, with one Zero MX and four other electric motorcycles participating.
Thomas Aubry, riding on behalf of Zero Motorcycles, proved the Zero MX has
what it takes to not only beat out the other electric motorcycles, but to
compete against the best gas powered riders in the race. After Aubry and the
Zero MX beat the other electric competitors, he went on to take first place
against gas motorcycles in the last race of his series, placing him third
overall in his class.

"This was quite an event! We didn't even know about it until two weeks prior
so we really pushed to get our team in order and race ready. This was our
first appearance in a European competition like this and the Zero MX
out-performed all other bikes in our category," says Edwin Belonje, Director
of European Sales & Marketing, Zero Motorcycles. "We are excited to capture
this win and are looking forward to taking on even more competitors as the
development of electric motorcycles continues to evolve."

Zero Motorcycles designed the Zero MX specifically for track riding and
motocross, using a high-performance suspension system. The Zero MX includes a
beefy front-end and a newly developed custom rear shock that gives riders a
fully adjustable spring preload and easily tuned damping. The Zero MX has also
been fitted with an aggressive 19" front wheel and tire package that will
accommodate any motocross tire. It is lightweight, low-maintenance and silent,
which opens up local track riding possibilities by eliminating the loud noise
associated with a traditional gas dirt bike.

The Zero MX is available for purchase exclusively through the Zero Motorcycles
website and is priced at $8,250. For more information on the Zero MX visit:
