Core180 Adds 18 US Military Locations to Its Telecommunications Network

Tue Aug 26, 2008 10:07am EDT
FAIRFAX, Va. & HOBOKEN, N.J.--(Business Wire)--
Core180, the leading telecommunications network integrator, today
announced it has successfully added 18 US military locations
throughout the country to its growing telecommunications platform as
part of a private network for the federal government. In 2006, Core180
became the sole subcontractor on a major multibillion dollar
telecommunications contract for the government.

"The US government has been able to realize significant savings by
taking advantage of our unique model for the next generation of
private networks," says Mark Ritter, senior vice president of DATS for
Core180. "Core180 continues to successfully grow as our government and
enterprise clients leverage the cost savings and ease of use afforded
by our platform."

Utilizing the Core180 platform, the company offers "purpose-built"
network designs and deployments that combine the services, carriers
and buying strategies from best-in-class providers. This enables users
to leverage multiple carrier vendors and experience enhanced network
visibility while reducing expense. Core180 recently upgraded the
platform to 10 Gbps, adding capacity that allows customers to receive
both SONET and Ethernet solutions in the network core as well as to
the edge.

large enterprises, system integrators, government agencies as well as
facility and non-facility based telecommunications carriers. Core180
is headquartered in Metro New York (Hoboken, N.J.) with operations in
