Pano Logic Desktop Device Named 'Best of the Best' in Prestigious Red Dot Product Design Award

                                 World
MENLO PARK, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Pano Logic(TM), developer of a server-based virtualized desktop
solution, today announced the company's Pano Logic Virtual Desktop
client has been recognized in the 'best of the best' category at the
red dot design awards, the world's largest and most prestigious design
competition. Pano Logic's innovative industrial design was singled out
along with 49 other products from more than 3,200 product design
entrants. Honorees will receive their award at a ceremonial gala at
the Essen Aalto-Theater in Essen, Germany on Monday, June 23, 2008.

Products submitted to the red dot design award are assessed by an
international jury consisting of renowned design experts. They examine
and test the products and judge them according to criteria such as
degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, longevity, ecological
compatibility and clarity of function.

"Successful products are differentiated from less successful
products in that they can survive in the real world," explains design
expert Professor Dr. Peter Zec, founder of the red dot design award.
"Because these competitions allow an objectification of otherwise
often very subjective design decisions, successful participation in a
design competition can be indicative of a product's later commercial
success."

Designed by Whipsaw, a recognized leader in industrial design, the
Pano Logic Virtual Desktop client is a sleek, compact silver box
measuring 18 cubic inches. The Pano Logic virtual desktop client is
part of the Pano Logic Virtual Desktop Solution, and is the most
visible to end-users. The client is an innovative new take on PC
architecture, and connects directly to a keyboard, mouse, display,
audio and USB peripherals. Additionally, the device is power-friendly,
using only three percent of the energy consumed by a traditional
desktop computer.

"Zero client technology is so simple and pure by nature,
especially where it touches the end user. It is fitting that the
design of the device itself should also have this extreme simplicity.
It is a 'zero client' so I wanted it to be a 'zero design'", said Dan
Harden, president of Whipsaw Inc. and designer of the Pano Virtual
Desktop Client. "The product needed to get out of the way -- computing
is already too complicated. Pano's monolithic block shape provided
this simplicity but also simultaneously gives it power, and even makes
reference to its boxy ancestors. Beyond its form, Pano has a mirror
finish on every surface, which reflects the environment around it,
almost blending into the desktop, making it even more diminished or
more zero. This combination of austere form, heavy weight (all metal
housing), tiny size, and ever-changing reflective surfaces gives Pano
a transcendent and futuristic quality, which is what Pano is all
about."

"Pano Logic's goal is to provide end-users with an alternative to
the traditional PC, and we understand that to do this and spur
adoption, we need to offer an attractive device for people's desks,"
said Nick Gault, CEO and president of Pano Logic. "We believe we have
achieved this, and are honored to have the design recognized by such a
prestigious award among such an impressive list of honorees."

Together with the other award-winning products, the Pano Logic
device will be on display from June 24 to July 27, 2008 in the
exhibition "Design on stage -- winners red dot award: product design
2008" at the red dot design museum located at the 'Zeche Zollverein'
World Cultural Heritage Site. After July 27, 2008, products will be
displayed in the red dot design museum's permanent exhibition for at
least one year. With approximately 1,500 products, the red dot design
museum houses the largest permanent exhibition of contemporary design
worldwide.

   About Pano Virtual Desktop Solution

The Pano Virtual Desktop Solution includes the hardware clients
and software components required to turn standard virtual
infrastructure into a purpose-build virtual desktop solution. The key
components of the solution are the:

-- Pano Device -- Designed by an award-winning industrial design
firm, the Pano device is a zero client- no CPU, no memory, no
operating system, no drivers, no software and no moving parts.
The Pano device connects keyboard, mouse, display, audio and
USB peripherals over an existing IP network to an instance of
Windows XP or Vista running on a virtualized server. Pano is
power friendly, consuming only 3% of the energy consumed by a
        traditional desktop computer.

-- Pano Management Server -- A centralized service and web-based
management interface which enables administrators to manage
the entire virtual desktop installation by integrating with
existing directory services and virtual infrastructure
        managers.

-- Pano Desktop Service -- A lightweight service residing within
each desktop virtual machine links peripherals attached to the
Pano to the unmodified Windows drivers residing in the virtual
machine. This design guarantees that all existing Windows
        drivers will work without modification.
