Tracking Bachelor and Bachelorette Party Consumer Online Trends in 2008

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- A new study was conducted in the
first quarter of 2008 by the largest network of bachelor and bachelorette
party sites which tracks trends of men and women who are planning
bachelor(ette) parties. I-Volution, Inc (www.ivolutioninc.com) which owns
websites www.bachelorettepartyfun.com and www.bachelorpartyfun.com, the two
largest and longest running bachelor party and bachelorette party sites in a
network of pre-wedding party websites, reports these findings from their 2007
year end statistics, including more than 4 million visitors during the year.
According to the study completed in the last quarter of 2007 involving
data from 388,000 visitors on www.bachelorettepartyfun.com, the top three
viewed sections include bachelorette game ideas, male entertainment and
bachelorette party invitations. Furthermore, a similar study in the last
quarter of 2007 on www.bachelorpartyfun.com which included 253,631 visitors
uncovered the top three online destinations as female entertainment, location
ideas and general entertainment ideas (i.e., golf, bars, sporting events).
Due to an increasing fear of an economic recession, there has been an
upward trend for bachelor(ette) parties to plan more home parties and be more
economical, as compared to the previous year's data. Michael Lasky, president
of I-Volution who speaks with a lot of bachelor and bachelorette party
planners states, "The trend may be due to the increase in costs associated
with travel and less disposable income." Lasky reports that he expects close
to 5 million visitors to come to his network of pre-wedding party websites
during 2008.
What are the most common new parties? They include attending
musicals/plays, instructional exotic / pole dancing lessons, an in-home exotic
male entertainer, spa day, or just a nice dinner and drinks out for the
bachelorette party. The recent trends of bachelor party events include bar
hopping, in-home female dancers, golf weekends, paintball and concert/sporting
events.
Lasky states that his network of pre-wedding party sites includes the
largest online party planning resources; nationwide limousine and
entertainment directories, theme ideas, as well as the largest selection of
bachelorette party games to help make planning the bachelorette party easier
for the maid of honor and bridesmaids. Other great areas on their site include
a free downloadable scavenger hunt game with over 60 ideas and a free "Oath of
Secrecy" which can be printed out and used by the bachelorettes.
Interesting data on Lasky's pre-wedding party network includes the most
popular destination for bachelor(ette) parties is Las Vegas, with 35% of the
traffic visiting the Vegas sections. In addition, the most popular items sold
on the www.bachelorpartyfun.com and www.bachelorettepartyfun.com sites include
veils, games, tableware and drinkware. Lasky states, "I have created the
bachelor(ette) party websites as a portal for consumers to receive nationwide
information on planning their parties as well as providing over 320 party
items for their bachelor and bachelorette parties, creating a one stop shop."
The websites www.bachelorettepartyfun.com and www.bachelorpartyfun.com
statistically track where visitors go on the sites to increase information in
areas that are most popular. In addition, Lasky has built www.groomsmen411.com
and www.bridesmaid101.com with additional free information for the planning of
pre-wedding parties.
Overall the bachelor and bachelorette party industry is substantially
growing online in conjunction with the volume of weddings, even though the
type of venues are ever changing. With today's free information on the net,
sites like these make it less stressful and more fun for bachelor party and
bachelorette party planners to be creative and resourceful.
