ACCESS Awarded Marine Corps Contract to Support the Program Manager Ammunition
(PM Ammo)

RESTON, Va., Aug. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Systems, Inc. (ACCESS), a
rapidly growing information technology (IT) support services firm, has been
awarded a contract by the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Program Manager
Ammunition (PM Ammo) under the Navy's Seaport Enhanced (Seaport-e) contract
vehicle. In this five-year contract, ACCESS provides modernization,
maintenance, and implementation IT services in support of the Ammunition
Automated Information Systems Modernization and Maintenance program. An
integral part of the initial system modernization and implementation will be
devoted to immediate and timely support of MCSC efforts in the Global War On
Terrorism, which involve critical system deployment strategies and timelines.
Julie Lee, President and CEO of ACCESS, said, "We are pleased to be
selected by PM Ammo to provide the requisite technical assistance needed to
meet the challenges of implementing a Marine Ammunition Management Enterprise,
supporting their Inventory Management Systems Availability and Maintenance
activity, and helping to modernize their IT systems -- all key initiatives in
PM Ammo's Strategic Plan."
As prime contractor, ACCESS selected One Network Enterprises as a
subcontractor. One Network will work in partnership with ACCESS to help PM
Ammo achieve its vision to become a revolutionary Class V(W) (ground
munitions) organization. The combined technical resources of the two firms
provide the essential technology capabilities to meet PM Ammo's automated
information systems, modernization and maintenance requirements.
ACCESS has a 14-year history of providing similar IT support services to
the Department of Defense (DoD), the Marine Corps, and other Federal Agencies.
The company has a record of performance that ensures success of the PM Ammo
Program. ACCESS' ability to provide quality IT support and mission-critical
responsiveness to its clients is evidenced by its exceptional reputation and
positive growth over the years.
ACCESS was recognized earlier by the MCSC when it jointly received the
Commander's Roundtable Team Excellence Award. The award recognized the
outstanding contribution ACCESS, military, and Government staff make to MCSC.
It was the first time in MCSC history that this excellence award was given to
a service-based organization. ACCESS also proved its responsiveness in
supporting MCSC's Equipping Process Roadmap project, which resulted in the
Commanding General's Knowledge Management Award.
