BERNE, Switzerland--(Business Wire)--
The DECT Forum, the international association of the worldwide
home communication industry, announces today that DECT 6.0 cordless
telephony devices have reached a 53 % dollar share in the United
States in May 2008 according to data from The NPD Group's retail
tracking service.

DECT 6.0 is the new-to-the-US interference free wireless
communication technology perfectly dedicated to cordless communication
in residential, commercial and public environments. Introduced in
2006, DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Technology, 1,9 GHz) has
become the most accepted and successful technology brand for cordless
communication in the United States.

"The rapid US marketplace embrace of DECT 6.0 is a great success
story for the entire home communication industry", says Mike Rude,
Chairman of the US Working Group of the DECT Forum. "The newest NPD
figures show that DECT 6.0 is the leading technology for cordless
communication. It has rapidly surpassed all other phone technologies
in the United States. DECT 6.0 communication devices provide a winning
balance between exceptional voice clarity and fantastic range."

DECT 6.0 coexists with WiFi systems without interference and
guarantees interference-free communication within residential and
commercial places (range up to 1000 ft). Additional benefits include:

Secure communication between base and handset, eco-power
management ensuring longer battery life. And, unlike other cordless
communication technologies, DECT 6.0 can support future IP broadband
