Experienced Veterans Join Company to Lead Strategic Departments

GENBAND Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation
gateways and application delivery platforms, today announced senior
management enhancements to augment the existing team. These changes
include the appointment of Fred Kemmerer as executive vice president
and chief technology officer, Jonathan Hustis as executive vice
president and general counsel, and Mehmet Balos as executive vice
president and chief marketing officer. John McNamara becomes executive
vice president, channels. All senior staff members report directly to
Charles Vogt, president and chief executive officer.

Charles Vogt, president and chief executive officer, is an
industry luminary with two decades of executive tenure. Vogt has been
instrumental in the operational and financial growth of five standard
setting start-ups that have either become public companies or have
been acquired. Since joining GENBAND, Vogt's vision and leadership has
led GENBAND to become one of the world's leading innovators of VoIP
infrastructure technology. Since 2004, GENBAND has increased top line
revenue by 1800%, executed three acquisitions, partnered with leading
OEMs, secured 30 of the top 75 global network service providers,
expanded its footprint to over 28 global countries and in 2007 was
recognized by both Inc. 500 and Deloitte Touche USA as one of nations

Jan Gaulding is executive vice president and chief financial
officer. Gaulding has over 10 years experience as a public company CFO
and an extensive track record in building successful financial
organizations in both public and private company settings for the past
20 plus years. In addition to Gaulding's experience in SEC compliance,
she has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions having
completed almost 30 transactions over her career.
Jonathan Hustis joined GENBAND in October 2007 as executive vice
president and general counsel. Hustis is an experienced technology
executive and legal counsel. He comes to GENBAND from Oracle
Corporation, having served 10 years as general counsel at MetaSolv,
Inc., acquired by Oracle in 2006. Previous experience was with Texas
Instruments, FoxMeyer Corporation, and in private civil law practice.
Fred Kemmerer joins as executive vice president and chief
technology officer and will lead GENBAND's technology office and drive
the strategic vision of the company's industry-leading product
portfolio. Kemmerer held a broad range of positions at Lucent
Technologies and later Alcatel-Lucent before joining GENBAND.
Keith Landau is executive vice president. Landau, a 27 year
accomplished telecommunications veteran, leads GENBAND's world-class
research and development team. Prior to GENBAND, Landau was
responsible for research and development with the Tekelec Switching
Solutions Group. Prior to Tekelec, Landau held numerous business and
R&D leadership positions in his 21 years at Nortel Networks.
Pablo Gargiulo is executive vice president. Gargiulo, a 25-year
accomplished business veteran, leads operations at GENBAND. Before
joining GENBAND, Gargiulo held the positions of Vice President of
Customer Services for switching worldwide, vice president of customer
operations for Tekelec's entire portfolio and most recently, vice
president of business operations for the Communications Software
Solutions Group.
Jim Odom is executive vice president, quality. Odom joined GENBAND
in November of 1999 and has led the professional services strategy,
focus, and implementation for the company. Odom came to GENBAND
following a 20-year career with Motorola, where he held several
leadership positions in the area of telecommunications IC development.
Daniel Lakey is executive vice president, Americas sales. Prior to
GENBAND, Lakey held senior level sales, marketing, and product
management positions at Tekelec. In these positions, he provided
strategic sales, product, and market guidance for VoIP networks,
applications, and services.
Ron Halpern is executive vice president, international sales.
Halpern is an accomplished veteran of the telecommunications and
software industry, with 19 years of experience spanning executive
sales, marketing and operations roles. Prior to GENBAND, Halpern held
senior management roles at Amdocs as Vice President and Client
Business Executive.
John McNamara has been promoted to executive vice president,
channels. McNamara, an industry veteran with over 20 years in the
telecommunications industry, joined GENBAND in 2007 to build on
GENBAND's channel partner program. Prior to GENBAND, McNamara held
executive sales positions with Nortel Networks, Cisco Systems, and
Siemens Corporation.
Mehmet Balos joins GENBAND as executive vice president and chief
marketing officer. Prior to coming to GENBAND, he has held a variety
of executive positions with leading companies, including Actelis,
3COM, Ericsson, AFC (acquired by Tellabs), Pirelli (acquired by
Cisco), ADC, and Fujitsu.
