MuseWorx(TM) Launches Industry's First Web 2.0 Marketing Services Automation Software

Tue Mar 11, 2008 10:00am EDT
DMA Western affiliates adopt Marketing Operating System as
              official digital asset management software
NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
The online automation of marketing functions moves a step closer
to reality with the introduction of MuseWorx(TM), the industry's first
fully integrated marketing operating system. Launched by New
York-based technology solutions company MRG-International,
MuseWorx(TM) (www.museworx.com) will provide all stakeholders in the
advertising and marketing communications process with a series of Web
2.0-enabled capabilities not currently found in any other single
application.

MuseWorx(TM) is the first virtual operating system designed
specifically for advertisers, ad agencies, interactive agencies,
design firms, marketing and promotion agencies and the entire field of
creative suppliers who work for them, as well as ancillary
marketing-related service providers such as stock photo houses, film
and video production companies, photographers, printers, web
publishers, etc. The system takes advantage of advancements in cloud
computing and broadband access to provide seamless integration of key
applications for digital and media asset management, file sharing,
collaboration, approval, storage and archiving, with connectivity to a
host of advanced marketing automation technologies and third-party
resources.

The development of MuseWorx(TM) is the latest reflection of a
movement described by leading business theorists as 'marketing
convergence,' which describes a steady migration onto the Internet of
the processes of planning, creating, approving, producing and placing
marketing communications materials. It's an effort on the part of
software designers and technologists to harness the immense powers of
cloud computing and the affordability of and access to vast server
farms to automate many of the most vexing and labor-intensive aspects
of ad production.

"Our goal in launching MuseWorx(TM) is simple," says Rob Wilson,
founder and Chief Executive Officer of MRG-International (MRGI). "We
want to bring companies together and help standardize an industry.
We're tapping into the capability that cloud computing offers to
remove the burden of managing, manipulating, approving and storing the
massive amounts of digital assets that the advertising and marketing
community produces on an almost daily basis. In the process, we intend
to change long-established work practices and make the marketing
industry as efficient in its production and distribution of great
selling ideas as the hi-tech industry is in the manufacture of its
goods."

At the center of the MuseWorx(TM) Marketing Operating System--and
central to the growth of marketing automation in general--is its'
capabilities in digital asset management. Through a simple and
intuitive interface, MuseWorx(TM) centralizes asset resources,
applications, and administration, giving users at every facet of the
advertising and marketing communications chain complete control and
access, along with more flexibility. MuseWorx(TM) provides creative
and media asset repository and archive administration, file security,
brand management and seamless integration with file share,
collaboration, and other marketing process applications.

One of the advantages of the MuseWorx(TM) system is that it
functions as a virtual operating system that requires no IT
infrastructure. It's accessible to anyone with a broadband online
connection, making it scalable for the largest multinational
advertisers and their global agencies as well as the smallest local
advertiser.

MuseWorx(TM) also allows for fast and convenient creative file and
media asset collaboration via its proprietary "view-only" file format.
This gives users complete control of files while sharing and
collaborating instantly for comment, annotation, rating, and online
approvals. MuseWorx(TM) centralizes all file collaboration activities,
feedback, and approvals into a single platform, while also simplifying
the process of tracking work approvals on multiple versions of updated
and amended files.

DMA affiliates endorse MuseWorx, promotes its use

Simultaneous with its launch, MuseWorx(TM) has been named the
official digital asset manager of three Direct Marketing Association
affiliates in the western United States: DMA Southern California, DMA
Northwest and DMA Southwest. These affiliates cover such major cities
as Los Angeles, Portland, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Salt Lake. As part of
this strategic partnership, members of these affiliates will be
offered an upgraded version of MuseWorx(TM) as a special value-added
member benefit, according to Bob Hughes, head of affiliate management
for the organizations.

"The marketing pros that make up the membership of these
affiliates will be among the first in the industry to take advantage
of the many features and benefits of MuseWorx," adds Bruce Lazarus,
Chief Operating Officer of MRGI. "They'll have the ability to securely
share and collaborate on their digital assets using new Web 2.0
technology not available until now. Through this partnership, DMA
affiliate members, along with their respective clients, vendors and
marketing partners, will be able to manage their digital assets, share
and transfer files, and collaborate with clients quickly and securely,
all from a single, integrated platform."

"MuseWorx represents the future of our industry, and we're happy
to be among the first professional standards organizations to adopt
its use," says Hughes. "Clients are looking to find faster and cheaper
ways of doing things, and MuseWorx provides that in a format that
makes sense for how businesses operate today. Our members are already
showing tremendous interest."
