Intelligroup Delivers Solutions to Customers that Enable Business Agility,
Flexibility and Compliance Through Enterprise SOA
EDISON, N.J., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Intelligroup today
announced that it has successfully implemented various solutions based on
enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA) for its customers
including Sharp Electronics Corporation. By leveraging its significant
industry knowledge, support of the SAP NetWeaver(R) platform and enterprise
services capabilities, Intelligroup helps clients optimize their core business
processes to generate greater business agility, flexibility and compliance
utilizing a service-based framework.
Sharp Electronics was honored with the grand prize in the first-ever
regional enterprise SOA showcase contest awarded at SAP(R) TechEd '07 Las
Vegas for its advanced use of enterprise services and portal technology to
drive sales and customer satisfaction. The contest recognized the efforts of
customers and partners who worked together to create a new breed of composite
applications to achieve significant business impact. Entries for this contest
were submitted from SAP's North American customers and partners within the SAP
Developer Network (SDN) community, and more than 30,000 votes were cast
against a list of the top entries.
Sharp Electronics identified an opportunity to use portal and process
integration technology from SAP NetWeaver to enable an automated credit card
process for customer and employee orders, reducing time spent manually
entering and authorizing purchases. The integration of Sharp Electronics
technology with services from a credit card payment gateway and a credit card
clearing house through SAP NetWeaver delivered improved customer satisfaction,
efficiencies in ordering processes, and reduced delayed or missed payments. In
addition, the company was able to consolidate the number of third-party manual
credit card solutions in use and eliminate liability of manual credit card
processing.
"We faced some key integration challenges in this project, especially on
the B2B side, and Intelligroup was able to deliver the solutions we needed,"
said Vin Mohite, senior manager and solution architect of this project at
Sharp Electronics. "We will continue to leverage SAP NetWeaver and enterprise
SOA adoption in future projects."
Bhalchandra Bhosale, Global SAP Practice Head for Intelligroup said,
"Intelligroup has demonstrated capabilities in delivering solutions based on
enterprise SOA that are industry specific and improve end-to-end business
processes. Examples include improving the Order-to-Cash process as well as the
Quote-to-Order process by deploying services based solutions for customers in
the high-tech industry.
Intelligroup is a member of SAP's Enterprise Services Community (ES

thought leaders from diverse industries to share ideas and innovations around
enterprise SOA. The community includes customers and partners who work jointly
with SAP to identify and define the highest-value enterprise service
interfaces required by customers, and delivered by SAP.
