Quebec Symphony Orchestra - The Symphony of a Thousand in Quebec City

QUEBEC CITY, March 15 /PRNewswire/ - The Quebec Symphony Orchestra
presented March 15th, 2008, at the Coliseum of Quebec, the Symphony No 8,
"Symphony of a Thousand" of Gustav Mahler with 1000 performers on stage under
the baton of Maestro Yoav Talmi, OSQ's artistic director. More than 12 400
persons had the privilege to share this monumental musical moment taking place
on the program of Quebec City's 400th anniversary celebrations. This musical
chef d'oeuvre rarely presented in the world took place in Quebec City with the
participation of 190 musicians, a choir of 700 adults and 120 children.
