Ernest M. Lareau Appointed Chairman of the HROA Board of Trustees

Wed Mar 12, 2008 12:30pm EDT
WASHINGTON, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The HROA today announced that Ernest
"Ernie" M. Lareau has been appointed chairman of its Board of Trustees. He
joins Jeffrey Bizzack, CEO of Accenture BPO Services, who will continue
serving as Vice Chair, and Mary Sue Rogers, head of IBM HR Business Process
Services, who will serve as Secretary/Treasurer. Together with Chairwoman
Emeritus, Sharon Taylor, they will form the HROA's executive committee.
Lareau is Director, HR Shared Services for E.I. du Pont de Nemours and
Company, a global science company headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. He
played a leadership role in the process that led to DuPont selecting Convergys
as its provider of transactional HR services, the largest HRO agreement in
history at that time. In his current position, Lareau is overseeing the
commercial aspects of the Convergys relationship and is accountable for
transforming DuPont HR into a world-class organization managing by process.
Sharon Taylor, Senior Vice President for HR at Prudential and the HROA's
outgoing Chairwoman said, "Ernie's experience and close collaboration with the
buying community in HRO will make him a great chair. I'm proud of our
accomplishments during my past two years and have great hopes for the future
of the HROA under Ernie's leadership."
Richard Crespin, Global Executive Director of HROA, said, "As an early
adopter of HRO, Ernie knows first-hand how it positively transforms an
organization. This experience has given him significant insights and
credibility and, as such, he's a well respected industry visionary. We're
looking forward to his contributions as the HROA's third chairman. We will
certainly benefit from his counsel."
In his 34 years with DuPont, Lareau has held positions of increasing
responsibility within manufacturing, technology, sales, marketing, strategic
planning and general management. His career emphasis has consistently been on
transformational opportunities in which he can utilize his broad-based
managerial experience in the areas of strategic planning, mergers and
acquisitions, negotiations and implementation to create new, high-growth
business opportunities for DuPont. A Georgia Tech graduate, Lareau holds a
Mechanical Engineering degree.
With this announcement, the HROA shared that Glenn Davidson of EquaTerra
will be stepping down as chair emeritus. Davidson will retain his seat on the
board as co-chair of HROA's public sector special interest group.
Crespin commented, "On behalf of the HROA, we'd like to thank Glenn for
all his years of service and multiple continuing contributions to the Board
and to the association. He has been instrumental in supporting the growth and
success of the HROA."
