Tue Nov 3, 2009 2:25pm EST
PARIS--(Business Wire)--
The third edition of the MIPIM Asia Awards has partnered with Aedas and the
South China Morning Post to host the duo`s Greenville Student Design
Competition, which call on young architects to design new homes for people
affected by the devastating earthquake that swept through China`s Sichuan
province in May 2008.

During the MIPIM Asia Awards 2009, Keith Griffiths, Chairman of Aedas` Global
board and of the Middle East and Asia, will announce the 10 shortlisted entries
of the Greenville Student Design Competition. The MIPIM Asia Awards Ceremony
will take place on the opening day of MIPIM Asia (Wednesday, November 18) from
5.45pm at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

In a second addition to the MIPIM Asia Awards 2009 ceremony, the College of
Estate Management (CEM), the leading provider of supported distance learning for
real estate and construction professionals, will pay tribute to Professor Li
Shirong, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, Royal Institution of
Chartered Surveyors and Institution of Civil Engineers. Since 1987, the CEM has
recognised individuals who have made a significant contribution to the UK and
international property industry. Professor Li Shirong has combined her work as a
Professor of Construction Management at Chongqing University with her role in
local government, where she is responsible for urban development and
construction. She is a key player in the UK-China Sustainable Cities Initiative.
