AdvaMed to Sponsor OneMedPlace Finance Forum

Fri Nov 6, 2009 12:32pm EST
NEW YORK, NY, Nov 06 (MARKET WIRE) --
OneMedPlace announced today that AdvaMed, the Advanced Medical Technology
Association, will be a lead sponsor of the "OneMedForum" event in San
Francisco on January 12-14 and anchor the opening reception on Tuesday,
January 12th, at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel.

"We are pleased to play a role in OneMedForum this year," said Kenny
Mendez, AdvaMed's Chief Administrative Officer. "At a time when the
medical technology industry is under extraordinary pressure, bringing
together those responsible for building the companies of the future has
never been more important. The Forum can help educate both investors and
companies on critical issues they will face in Healthcare Reform. We will
use this opportunity to provide an update on legislation and healthcare
reform to insure that America's emerging growth companies understand the
implications and can play a role in the development of legislation."

"AdvaMed's involvement and support this year is particularly important as
they are committed to ensuring that healthcare reform doesn't impede the
engine of innovation," said Brett Johnson, President, OneMedPlace.
"AdvaMed is a great resource and we hope to use their insights to help
companies and investors better understand the road ahead."

"We have had a long relationship and have been impressed with the steady
progress and quality of OneMedPlace and its programs to help medical
technology companies," said Andrew Calhoun, Vice President for Membership
Services at AdvaMed. "One of AdvaMed's key goals is to provide support to
emerging companies to help them grow, including connecting with potential
partners and sources of funding. The Finance Forum is a great venue for
that."

The Finance Forum launched in 2008 and is held in the same week as the JP
Morgan Healthcare Conference, which attracts a large contingency of the
healthcare investment community to San Francisco each January. The
OneMedForum provides a platform for emerging companies and smaller public
companies to present to serious investors interested in learning about
lesser-known companies and networking opportunities. More than 100
companies will be presenting and over 500 investors are expected to
attend.
