From Gaming to Composing the SoundTech Ediface(TM) Opens Up a New Digital
World to Guitarists

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- SoundTech Professional Audio, a division
of US Music Corporation, announced today the Ediface(TM) Digital Guitar
Interface, a new product that enables guitars to communicate directly with
computers. From gaming to composing the SoundTech Ediface(TM) opens up a new
digital world to guitarists.
For years digital keyboard players enjoyed unparalleled flexibility and
functionality in interfacing and composing with their computers, such as the
ability to instantly create notation and change sounds generated by their
instruments with the push of a button. The SoundTech Ediface(TM) now offers
this flexibility and functionality to guitarists as well as the ability to use
a real guitar with computer games.
The Ediface(TM) Digital Guitar Interface comes with a pick-up and
converter that attaches directly to any electric, acoustic electric or
acoustic guitar. The Ediface(TM) is fully plug and play compatible with
Windows XP or higher as well as Mac OSX -- no driver install is necessary.
The SoundTech Ediface(TM) package includes Guitar Wizard, a game that
allows users to jam along to popular songs while learning to play a real
guitar. Guitar Wizard teaches aspiring musicians everything from single note
picking to complex chords and strumming techniques.
"We developed the Ediface(TM) to give guitarists and aspiring guitarists
an easy and fun way to interact with their computers through guitar play,"
said Larry English, president of US Music Consumer Division. "From composing
to gaming, the possibilities with the SoundTech Ediface(TM) are virtually
limitless."
Modern Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software, such as Sony Acid(R)
Music Studio and Apple GarageBand harness the power of PCs allowing musicians
to play samples and software instruments. With the SoundTech Ediface(TM)
guitarists can control these programs to play sampled sounds and synthesized
instruments such as a keyboard or piano, a different style guitar, drums or a
woodwind instrument. Using the SoundTech Ediface(TM), guitarists can compose a
complete masterpiece controlling and recording each instrument from trumpets
to tympani using their guitar.
In the near future SoundTech Ediface(TM) users will enjoy the ability to
connect a real guitar to console systems bridging the gap between gaming and
reality.
    SoundTech Ediface(TM) Features:
-- Use your guitar to connect with your computer
-- Have fun while learning to play guitar
-- Includes Guitar Wizard gaming software
-- Record, compose and edit music easily
-- Arrange with flexibility & control
-- Convert recorded songs into sheet music
