Transcontinental Merger Creates 'Top 50' Accounting Firm in the U.S.

Mon Nov 16, 2009 2:13pm EST
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. and BREA, Calif., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Two leading
independent accounting firms, with offices on both coasts, today announced a
merger, effective January 1, 2010, which will create a national firm ranked by
gross revenues in the "Top 50" accounting firms in the U.S.

Moore Stephens Wurth Frazer and Torbet, LLP, with three offices in California
is merging with FROST, PLLC, with offices in Arkansas and North Carolina. The
merged firm will be known as Frazer Frost, LLP and will continue to operate
out of all current locations.

"It is a great milestone to be ranked by revenues among the top 50 accounting
firms in the country," said Daniel M. Peregrin, managing partner of FROST,
PLLC. "Nonetheless, we have only reached this point by taking great care of
our clients every step of the way. Our formula for success has been our
client relationships, backed by the performance of our professionals, and that
will not change."

Dean Yamagata, managing partner of Moore Stephens Wurth Frazer and Torbet,
LLP, stated, "Both of our firms have built practices which include
specialization in the animal agriculture industry, spanning the past five
decades. In addition, our West Coast offices have a great deal of experience
working with Chinese and Pacific Rim companies that are publicly traded in the
United States, along with having a strong niche in the construction industry.
This merger combines our unique individual and combined expertise in the dairy
production, animal agriculture, food processing and construction industries -
along with our rapidly expanding international business - and positions us to
be an even stronger leader in those areas."

After the merger, Frazer Frost will represent business in 47 states in the
U.S. and 15 countries, internationally. The firm will be led by co-managing
partners Yamagata (West coast operations) and Peregrin (Midwest and East Coast
operations). Annual revenues will be approximately $60 Million and the firm
will employ a total of 272 people.

Frazer Frost will continue its membership in Moore Stephens North America,
Inc., (MSNA) an association of leading, independently owned and operated
certified public accounting and chartered accounting firms with 41 member
firms in North America. MSNA is a member of Moore Stephens International
Limited (MSIL), a multi-national consulting and accounting association with
headquarters in London, England. MSIL has 360 independently owned and
operated member firms with more than 650 offices in 98 countries.
