SAIC Awarded $32 Million Task Order to Support Space and Naval Warfare Systems

Company to Provide Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Training
Support to the Tactical Command and Control (C2) Division
MCLEAN, Va. and SAN DIEGO, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science
Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced that
it has been awarded a task order by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center
(SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic to support the Tactical Command and Control (C2)
Division by providing counter improvised explosive device (C-IED) training
services. The task order has a three year period of performance and a total
value of more than $32 million. Work will be performed primarily at Camp
LeJeune, N.C.; Camp Pendleton, Twentynine Palms, and Bridgeport, Calif. The
task order was awarded under the U.S. Navy's SeaPort-e contract.
SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic provides full-service systems engineering and
acquisition to rapidly deploy capabilities to warfighters. Under the task
order, SAIC will support the center's C2 division by providing C-IED tactical
training support. SAIC will also help instruct deploying Marines, and provide
logistical and documentation support to the division's evaluation and
assessment team, and the U.S. Marine Corps' (USMC) Training and Education
Command, and Engineer Training and Education Center of Excellence.
