Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum Introduces New Heavy-Duty Vacuum Pump Line For Industrial and Research Applications
TRIVAC NT Rotary Vane Pumps Offer New Cost Savings, Performance
Features
TOKYO--(Business Wire)--
Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum GmbH, a leading supplier of advanced
vacuum systems for use in manufacturing and analytical processes,
today introduced to the Asian market TRIVAC NT, a new line of vacuum
pumps designed for heavy-duty industrial and research applications at
the Vacuum 2008 show.
The TRIVAC NT rotary vane pumps, including the NT 5, NT 10 and NT
16, offer high performance, extreme reliability and durability, even
under the most rigorous operating conditions. During extensive,
heavy-duty stress testing by multiple customers in real-world
applications, TRIVAC NT pumps showed consistently strong vacuum
performance and ease of operation.
The pump series features a compact design, quiet operation, low
oil back-streaming, reduced power consumption, high water-vapor
tolerance and pumping speed, continuous operation at 1,000 mbar and a
service-friendly design. The pumps' "Cool Generation" technology
decreases operating temperatures and ensures longer oil lifetime and
superior water-vapor tolerance.
"These new TRIVAC NT pumps set a new design-and-manufacturing
standard," said Thomas Babacan, CEO of Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum. "Our
top priority is building reliable, high-performance products, and they
give our technically trained sales team and outstanding applications
engineers the ability to construct efficient and economical process
solutions."
Demonstrating Oerlikon Leybold Vacuum's attention to detail, the
TRIVAC NT line offers customers a variety of cost-savings and
performance features, including:
-- The entire inner section of the pump can be swapped out in
minutes, with no special tools or specialized knowledge -- the
equivalent of a complete pump rebuild, on site
-- Parts count has been reduced by 15 percent compared to the
preceding generation, increasing reliability and simplifying
maintenance
-- New design provides 30 percent more air for the cooling
turbine, increasing oil life and overall component longevity
-- All components, including the oilbox, intake and exhaust lines
are protected against surface corrosion, and solvent-resistant
seals are used throughout
-- In case of power failure or shutdown, vacuum protection is
provided via an anti-suckback valve, which blocks the intake
during a pump standstill and vents the inner pump body. This
prevents backstreaming of oil into the vacuum system
The TRIVAC NT pumps are particularly well suited for applications
in metallurgy, furnaces, freeze drying, the automobile industry, lamps
and tubes manufacturing, vacuum coating, analytical instrumentation,
leak detection and research and development.
