SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- CompWest Insurance Company, a specialty
provider of Workers' Compensation in the Western U.S., has been named a "2009
Best Place to Work in Insurance" as recently published by Business Insurance
magazine, the company announced today.

The 2009 Best Places to Work in Insurance is a first-ever joint effort of Best
Companies Group and Business Insurance and considered all U.S. insurers,
agents and brokers with 25 or more employees serving the commercial markets.
The program evaluated each participating company from a variety of areas
including work environment, corporate culture, communications, and role
satisfaction. This year's final list recognized an elite group of the 33
highest scoring companies. Of these, CompWest was among only fourteen
insurers named to the list, and the only insurer from California.
