Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice to Sponsor Creative Cities Summit

DETROIT, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The producers of the Creative
Cities Summit 2.0 (CCS2) today announced that Detroiters Working for
Environmental Justice (DWEJ) has signed on as a major sponsor for the
ground-breaking conference on contemporary city making and the creative
economy coming to DetroitOct. 13-15, 2008.  

"DWEJ believes that the time has come for Detroit to take its place in the new
economy," said Donele Wilkins, executive director, Detroiters Working for
Environmental Justice. "We are delighted to be a sponsor of such an exciting
event and look forward to the new ideas, relationships and opportunities that
await us."

CCS2 will present a dynamic and engaging conversation about how communities
around the world are integrating innovation, social entrepreneurship,
sustainability, arts & culture and business to create vibrant economies.

CCS2 participants will include a variety of creative professionals, activists,
educators and community leaders sharing their experiences, projects, successes
and failures as they re-imagine and rethink cities.

Early bird registration is available through September 12, 2008. Those
interested in attending are urged to register today to take advantage of the
$250 discounted fee. $10 of every conference registration will go towards
