Pathways Hospice Celebration of Light Memorials Offer Hope

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Experiencing grief can be lonely and sad when mixed with the holiday season and
the darkness of winter. Pathways Hospice`s Celebration of Light Memorials offer
a place of light and hope, where attendees can light a candle and find comfort
in a safe place. 

This December Celebration of Light Memorials will be held in three Bay Area
locations: Los Altos, Oakland, and San Mateo. These memorials are free of
charge, non-denominational, and open to the public.

* Tuesday, December 1, 2009, 6:30 - 8 p.m., Los Altos United Methodist Church,
Creekside Room, 655 Magdalena Avenue, Los Altos, CA.

* Thursday, December 3, 2009, 6:30 - 8 p.m., Lifemark at Oakland Chapel of the
Chimes 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA.

* Saturday, December 5, 2009, 2:30 - 4 p.m., Lifemark San Mateo Skylawn Memorial
Park Highway 92 at Skyline Boulevard, San Mateo, CA.

Attendees of the Celebration of Light Memorial will light a candle of
remembrance, hear inspirational readings from various faith traditions, and join
others who are grieving in a place of quiet and warmth. A memory table will
provide the opportunity for attendees to place a favorite picture or memory
object to further honor their loved ones. 

Pathways bereavement services are made possible through generous donations from
the community to Pathways Hospice Foundation. Services are available to anyone
in the community and include: information and referrals, loss support groups,
remembrance events, grief workshops, individual counseling, educational
material, and community presentations.
