Education Realty Trust to Host Second Quarter 2009 Earnings Conference Call

MEMPHIS, Tenn., July 10, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Education Realty Trust, Inc.
(NYSE:EDR), a leader in the ownership, management and development of student
housing, today announced that the Company will release financial results for the
second quarter of 2009 after the market closes on Monday, July 20, 2009.

The Company will host a conference call for investors and other interested
parties beginning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, July 21, 2009. The call
will be hosted by Paul O. Bower, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and
President, and Randall H. Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer.

The conference call will be accessible by telephone and the Internet. To access
