picoChip Identified As One of the Top Tech Start-Ups in the World
in Prestigious First-Time Award
BATH, England--(Business Wire)--picoChip announced today that it has been selected as a winner of
the Red Herring 100 Global Award. The awards span all areas of
technology including biosciences, communications, computing and
software; picoChip was one of only ten semiconductor winners.

Red Herring 100 winners and finalists from North America, Europe
and Asia of the last three years were eligible for this award. The Red
Herring editorial team used a very competitive process to whittle down
this pool of 1800 eligible promising companies to the 100 winners of
this first-time award. Evaluations were made on both quantitative and
qualitative criteria such as financial performance, innovation,
management, global strategy, and ecosystem integration.

"picoChip is honored to be recognised for its outstanding
achievements, and to be identified as one of the most promising
technology firms in the world by Red Herring Magazine via its 100
Global Award," said Guillaume d'Eyssautier, president and CEO,
picoChip. "The team deserve it - and it is truly gratifying for the
company as a whole to be acknowledged in this way."

picoChip is the leading supplier of multi-core DSP delivering
extremely high performance at competitive cost points. It offers a
powerful platform to develop infrastructure products for emerging
global wireless communications markets such as WiMAX, LTE, McWILL,
TD-SCDMA and 4G. In addition, the company offers complete reference
design for WiMAX and HSDPA femtocell, picocell and macrocell
basestations.

The winning companies were announced and celebrated at the Red
Herring Global event in Seattle, WA, on December 3-5.
