Valley Presbyterian Hospital Appoints New Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

VAN NUYS, Calif.--(Business Wire)--
Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) today announced the appointment
of Wesley R. Schmidt as Vice President and Chief Human Resources
Officer, effective June 9.

   Schmidt brings more than 10 years of healthcare and human
resources experience to Valley Presbyterian Hospital. Currently,
Schmidt serves as Director of Human Resources at Simi Valley Hospital
- a 153-bed hospital that is part of Adventist Health, a
not-for-profit, faith-based health system operating in California,
Hawaii, Oregon and Washington. Schmidt also held the position of
Manager of Human Resources at Florida Hospital Heartland Division in
Florida.

   "Valley Presbyterian Hospital, along with our community, is
growing and we need the innovative know-how that Wesley has to share,"
said VPH President and Chief Executive Officer Albert L. Greene.
"Wesley has an impressive track record of implementing new HR systems
such as online new hire application and requisition along with a
paperless performance evaluation system. Wesley has the knowledge and
experience to lead our long-range strategic human resources
requirements. We're excited to have him join our executive team."

   Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from
Southwestern Adventist University and a Master's degree in Business
Administration from Webber International University.
