DesignIntelligence Ranks Drexel University's Interior Design Programs Among Top in the Nation

PHILADELPHIA--(Business Wire)--DesignIntelligence, a bi-monthly journal published by Greenway
Communications for the Design Futures Council, ranked Drexel
University's interior design programs among the top in the nation.

Housed in Drexel's Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts &
Design, the undergraduate interior design program was ranked 10th in
the nation, while the graduate interior design program was ranked
13th. In the East region, the undergraduate program was ranked 4th and
the graduate 5th.

"The success of our programs can be attributed to the foresight in
developing an innovative and unique curriculum," said Allen Sabinson,
dean of Drexel's Westphal College. "We are able to deliver a dynamic,
rigorous experience with relevant coursework and exceptional faculty
that prepare our students for the national and international design
industry."

DesignIntelligence is the Design Futures Council's bi-monthly
"Report on the Future" and the repository of a vast wealth of timely
articles, original research, and industry news. In 1993, a network of
26 regional and national design firms began sharing ideas, benchmarks
and proprietary financial analyses with one another, and began shaping
DesignIntelligence.

Through academics grounded in problem-solving design studios,
cooperative employment, and dedicated faculty, Drexel's interior
design programs prepare students for leadership positions in the
interior design industry. Within the context of increasingly more
complex design projects, the behavioral, technological, and aesthetic
aspects of interior design are explored. The undergraduate interior
design program is accredited by the Council for Interior Design
Accreditation (CIDA) and National Association of Schools of Art &
Design (NASAD).
