New Shareholder Letters Mailed for a Better Biovail

TORONTO, June 9 /PRNewswire/ - Eugene Melnyk and EM Holdings
B.V., who recently issued a proxy circular proposing a new slate to the board
of Biovail Corporation, have mailed a letter responding to statements made by
certain members of Biovail's Board and management and reviewing the benefits
of a new Board and management team led by Bruce Brydon.
    In addition, Eugene Melnyk today published an open letter to shareholders
to, among other things, reiterate that he is retired and not coming back to
join Biovail's board or management.
