(PLTs) are an important part of helping Wake County students achieve academic
success. At a press conference on Thursday, November 12, the Wake NCAE will
invite parents, community leaders and school board members to celebrate
American Education Week by joining educators at local schools during a PLT
Wednesday session.

American Education Week is November 15 -21, 2009. The theme is Great Public
Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility. PLTs are part of achieving
great public schools for every child in the Wake County Public School system
(WCPSS). Educators want to keep this important time to communicate, cooperate,
and help ensure that all children's educational needs are met.
Wake NCAE represents nearly 5,000 public school employees in the WCPSS.
